The Education Mentorship Program is a 33-week initiative that pairs two students with a trained tutor for twice-weekly academic instruction rooted in the science of reading and evidence based practices. Students receive 66 sessions focused on phonics, fluency, comprehension, math, academic wellness, and 21st Century Employability Skills.
Mentors are paid and trained as part of a work-based learning experience, helping build a pipeline of future educators and leaders. Staff receive training and professional development throughout the year.
The program serves multilingual learners, struggling readers, and low-income students across Central Indiana, combining academic growth with workforce development and educational equity.
